The following will sound like a joke, but I swear this really happened.
One of my girlfriends B-I-L (brother in law) is gay. Her husband's family lives in different states all around the country. When he decided to "come out" his parents held a family meeting to let the rest of the family know. Well, they already knew and they were fine with it.
After everyone got together to discuss it, my girlfriend's S-I-L (Sis in law) nudges her newly officially ousted brother and said "Salty ain't it?"
I would have SO loved to be there to see the look on their parents' face after that comment; I would have spewed tequila out of my nose

I totally said the same thing when one of my guy friends 'came out' to me. I also already suspected - but I let him get around to it in his own good time because I think I knew it before he did!
