My mental health day at Sea World

We had a blast a Sea World Monday! I rode Manta twice.. not in a row though.. I didn't think people wanted to wear my lunch. Manta kicks ass! It is Sea World's newest coaster.

You are on your stomach the whole time! You almost believe you can fly. Good thing THEY control the harness and the ankle cuffs.

Then we went to go see Shamu in the underwater viewing tank and discovered he was just as happy to see us as we were to see him. Look closely and and you can see his mega-lipstick

Damn that thing is huge. I wanna be a whorish female orca. Oh shit.. did i just type that out loud? Oh well

Then we rode Kracken, the other coaster, which is still fun, but Manta's got it beat by a long shot.

Off into the AC where we watched a show. We watched "A'lure" The dancers and gymnasts were amazingly talented.
It was about a fisherman who gets pulled into the ocean and discovers an underwater freak show.

The costumes make me think that whomever was in charge ordering them was too high to remember to order them in time for the first show. So he called "HideousCostumes R Us" and said, "Dude I am so screwed, can you send me 100 of your most brightly neon colored skin suits, sew some bright neon tie-died tulle around the waist, oh and 100 light blue neon wigs with chin straps?"

Really.. would YOU wear these anywhere but in a dark room filled with 200 strangers 3 times a day? Well you might, but not I.

The show was pretty good. There was an evil sea queen in it and towards the end the fisherman saved them all from her. While standing by her throne, he took he scepter and pointed at her. A bunch of smoke cam rushing around her and POOF she was gone.
There was a kid sitting behind us who had been quiet up until this point. He asked his mom "What happened to the queen Mommy" When she didn't answer, her repeated the question. Her reply? Not unlike one me or any other frustrated mom would make. She said "He killed her." I laughed so hard. We heard not a peep out of him the rest of the show.

At the beginning of the show they took the fisherman's skull cap from him and played keep away with it. He never got it back. I'm not sure if it pissed anyone else off like it did me'

Oh shit look at the time. I have 19 minutes to get ready for work. Good thing its only a 45 second drive from here.

WOW! I am so jealous. Seaworld is on my bucket list. The last one on it. Simply because I'm going to die when I visit there hehe.

I can't even read the words harness and ankle cuffs without breaking into a cold sweat.

They're USED to be a Sea World here in Ohio when I was a kid and I loved going. We probably wouldn't be able to afford to take all the kids anyway, so maybe it's for the best that it's gone... The closest thing we'll get to Sea World are the tadpoles my kids catch...

That coaster sounds terrifying but fun! I'm glad you had a fun day.

I would hate to have to perform in those costumes.

You rode a manta? Did you at least let it buy you dinner first?
