Last night was the high school graduation ceremony for my daughter Tiffany from The Water Bottle.
Mere words can NOT express the joy and pride we feel at this moment.
If you don't know what a miracle this beautiful child is, let me tell you.
When she was born 3 months premature, she weighed 1 lb-11 1/2 oz and fought for her life. She was so small and so fragile I was afraid to even touch her. Her foot was the size of my thumb. I wasn't even sure if she would survive. But on Christmas day, when they wheeled me in to see her, I reached my hand in your "condo" as they called the incubator, and she grabbed my finger and held so tight, I looked at her head nurse Tracey, and said, "She's going to make it!" For four months she stayed in her condo with so many tubes, wires and needles everywhere and she fought so hard. She had angels all around, human and other worldly to help her fight and to keep us all strong for her. We continued to be in awe at this beautiful Christmas present God had given us. She never ceased to amazed us with all of her wonderful progress.
Now, 18 years later, it is unbelievable to me how someone who started life so tiny and fragile could grow up to be as amazing as she is.
She obsessed over school work to the point of giving herself stomach problems. But as she graduated with a 3.4 GPA we all watched in awe and amazement
as she walked across that stage, trying to keep her hat on
We are so very proud of you! NOW GO FIND A JOB!
