The greatest day EVER!

On this day in 1972, "Only Fools Are Sad" closes at Edison Theater New York City after 144 performances. This show reportedly closed a full 2 weeks early because all of the actors heard that I was going to be gracing the earth with my presence and let's face it.. who would want to miss THAT?
Betsy Cullen wins LPGA Sears Women's World Golf Classic and Los Angeles Lakers broke NBA record by winning 69 of 82 games (69-13). When asked what they were going to do now, Betsy and the entire Lakers team shouted "We're going to California!" A reporter asked "Oh, you are going to Disneyland?" They replied "No silly, we won because Dizzblnd was just born and we HAVE to go see her to celebrate!"

That's what my mom told me anyway. She also told me that when I came out, I was singing "Happy Birthday Steven Tyler, Diana Ross, Keira Knightley, Tennessee Williams, and Robert Frooooooooooooost, Happy Birthday to you"

I know, I didn't believe it myself, but who am I to call my mom a liar?

I just learned that a fellow blogger Nanny Goats in Panties got married for my birthday 9 years ago today, presumably because they couldn't get me anything because they spent all of their money while they were in Hawaii.

"The Boy" made me a nice breakfast of eggs bacon and a bagel, with a rose on the plate from our rosebush. To my delight, when I sat down to post this, I found a package of Reese's Peanut butter cups on my keyboard. mmmmmmmmmm.

I am off work today and tomorrow. Right now, I think I will go back to bed, this body ain't gettin any younger and since my co-workers are going to buy me lunch today, I need a nap to get ready for the big outing. I will get to all of your blogs later today or tomorrow (update.. who am I kidding, I can't sleep, my phone keeps ringing..sigh)

So that's what it was! I remember that day in school (elementary school, mind you!!!) 37 years ago when the whole school gave a big cheer for some "wonderful birth." Teachers were crying and the positive emotion was incredible.

So now I know.

Happy Birthday! Yes, the husband and I consulted Confucious who told us that March 26 was an auspicious day and that we must get married on that day to honor you.

Also? I wore blue soggy doggy underwear as my "something blue".

Thanks for the link love, darlin'!
