Yesterday was the best day I had in a long time!

If you didn't read yesterdays post.. lemme get you caught up..
"We rented a pontoon boat and will spend the day on the St Johns River."

It was such beautiful day for it too.

There were 6 of us; my family of 4 and my S-I-L and B-I-L.

I took my video camera which is capable of taking still pictures. However, it doesn't take them very well. My SIL at Rock-Om took her professional camera and took LOTS of beautiful pictures. Sadly, somehow, I lost all of the videos I took as we cruised the river when I transferred from camera to 'puter.

Most of the pictures you will see will be hers, unless otherwise noted. She loves the wildlife, especially hawks. We were on the Dead River, which might explain the lack of wildlife we saw.

The only gator we saw was this one

Here are other pictures of the trees surrounding the St Johns. It is so beautiful and peaceful

We cruised the river for a majority of the day. It was hot, but there was a nice breeze. We cruised to Blue Springs. The water is a chilly 72° year round. The water looks like this

We a had tube This is me on the left, hubs in front of me, "The Boy" in the float and BIL on the right at the boil.. which by the way is UPSTREAM from the swimmin hole. The current is very strong so you have to battle it to get to the boil so you can float back down again.

This is a pic SIL caught of me. I love this pic

This is her driving the boat

And Tiffany just taking it all in

Even my my words and her awesome pictures cannot describe what a wonderful time we had. To spend it with family made it all the more betterer. (no thats not a typo)

It is something we hope to do more than once a year. It rained about the time fireworks started; which was just as well.. we were all exhausted anyway.

I didn't get up til 10 this morning. My hunny was nice enough to let me sleep in a coupla extra hours. Now I am off to Super Wal-Fart to do some grocery shopping YAY. Wish me luck. I will probably visityour blogs later tonight.

I hope you all had a safe and wonderful day yesterday too.

Hum...the first three pictures didn't show up. I really wanted to see that gator!

I'm glad you guys had fun. Yesterday would have been a great day to be in the water.

Dang dude! that looks like soo much fun! I wish I could have been there!! Although that might have been awkward, seeing as how I don't really KNOW you or your family, but STILL -- after a few beers, it would have been all good!

I had a blast too! You all rock. We can do this once a month, even if it's just go to Blue Springs until we get a boat.
