I used to park in the back yard next to where my husband parks his van. He would park a little ahead of me, I parked to the right his van is a "terrorist van." It is white and the only windows it has are the ones up front and 2 in the back. There are no side windows at all. That makes for HORRIBLE blind spots. One morning at about 5:30, he and his business partner leave to go to work. His partner is usually his navigator when it's dark and difficult to see with the mirrors. I was sleeping.
He comes back in the house, in the bedroom and yells at me. "Thanks for parking so close to me, I just ran into the front of your car."
I was barely coherent. "How is this MY fault? I am sleeping YOU ran into a PARKED car that is there every damn day"
"Well you parked differently this time or I wouldn't ave hit your car."
"Why didn't Bart (business partners fake name) tell you my car was parked there?"
"That monkey trucker (not what he REALLY said) can't see shit in the morning when it's that dark."
So he leaves, all pissed off. I got to work later that day and tell my co-workers about this incident. Still incredulous that he blames ME for something HE did.
My female co-workers all sympathized with me. After all, I was sleeping when incident happened. I didn't park directly behind him. I didn't sneak out there ninja style and pull in back of him at the last second. I. WAS. SLEEPING.
The male
Almost 2 years later, he STILL blames me.

Of course it wasn't your fault.
Men are idiots at the best of time. He's just showing you that he KNOWS he was in the wrong when he STILL talks about it all defensive like, and STILL blames you. Obvious.
You said it sista! Thanks for the vote.
I need more evidence. How much different were you parked? I see it as a kind of a gray area at this point.
LMAO Travis.. I parked where I normally do.. he just doesn't want to admit that it was his fault
It doesn't matter where a car is parked. Hello, if you run into a PARKED car, it is your fault. Neutralize it, if you are in a parking lot and hit a parked car, you don't know the owner, it is your fault, not their fault, even if they are parked close to you. MEN!
I KNOW! ;) Thank you lucy.. That is the best explanation!
SO his fault. It doesn't really matter WHERE you park, anyway. What matters is that the DRIVER pays attention to what is around him and STEERS CLEAR. Men.
Ha! I just noticed my comment is almost exactly like Lucy's!
That's cuz you were separated at birth???
lol
When ex #2 and I were driving back from WA we stopped in a KOA. It had a been a long time on the road, we each drove a truck, him with the trailer. The kid was antsy and the dog needed to run. He told me to take the kid and the dog for a walk to the pool. I left. When I got back I could hear him swearing from a good blocks distance away. Apparently I had parked my truck just where he planned on dropping the back of the trailer. Guess whose passenger door got a big gouge taken out of it from the trailer. That's right, mine. It was all my fault of course. To this day it still pisses me off. This was not the only thing he blamed on me. God, I'm glad we are divorced!
Jen: Thanks for stopping by my blog! I just don't understand why men cant accept that they did something stupid.
I am holding my opinion until I see some aerial photos with chalk outlines.
I shall have the police report sent to you express mail
You know who was wrong without a vote. Are you using this to show him a thing or two? He was wrong. Case closed. Look where you are going. Of course you could run into his car and then blame him. It would be the same thing.
You know it Etta. I just told im about it. He rolled his eyes and said.. "It was your fault, I don't care what they say!"
If a moving vehicle hits a stationary object, it's the moving vehicle's fault.
Thank you RG... my case builds..
bu bu bummmmmmmmmm
No it wasn't your fault. I am thinking your husband and mine could be related ... the same genes are there, I am telling you.
OMG!! The same thing happened to me in the summer! I was in the passenger seat of his car when he backed into my car! I was all "dude! do i have a flippin remote control that made my car go forward??"
Men!
Lyndsay, I am beginning to believe you! I think ALL men are form the same idiot gene pool
Bee, I just don't get the nerve of them. I am glad I am not the only one that has had something similar happen. You can really sympathize!
Typical typical.. this sounds like my house. Of course it wasn't your fault. If someone took a little time to see exactly what was goin on.. it never would of happened. Men.
so his fault.
